Quick doggie sketches

It's been a couple of weeks since I blogged and I'm not finished with the current piece I want to Blog about (a new technique for me that I'm very excited about!). Things have been busy lately around here but I wanted to post something for you, so...

...here are two sketches! These are actually studies for the new technique I alluded to above. These are both my own dogs - Rosie, the bulldog, passed away several years ago. I have always loved this shot of her. Emma, the.. well, we don't know exactly what she is.. is our 13 year old ray of sunshine who thinks she's about two. In this picture she was looking into the wind in our back yard.

I hope you enjoy them!

Love looking at rough sketches, thanks for posting them. Of course, your 'roughs' are hardly that, but having seen your 'finished' work I guess we could call them that. These are full of sparkly spirit. Nice to meet your dogs, past & present.
